Lomido and I started talking about this project in 2004. We agreed that it wasn’t right that the only place where you could readily get information on Zimbabwean High Court and Supreme Court Judgements was a South African organisation (Keep it in the family!). So we started working on a website that would have all this information and more…

It’s been a lot of research and information gathering. Five years or planning, designing and redesigning.

It’s now up and contains over 1,000 documents, from judgments to statutes and over 300 contacts for legal practitioners and related organisations in Zimbabwe. It’s still a work in progress though as there is much more information that we’d like to put up.

Many many thanks to Lomido for all the research, Tendai for the painstaking data capture and PDF conversions and to Shingie for doing the upload and other online tricks- where she is- in one afternoon which would have taken me a week and a little fortune to do in Harare.

Here it is: www.law.co.zw
