We’ve all heard of Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and Hi5. Through these social networking websites we can connect with old friends, share photos, send messages and keep up to date with events in the lives of those most dear to us wherever they are in the world.
Ning (and a slew of other similar services on the web) now give you the power to create YOUR OWN social network. Yep, you heard me- your own social network. You decide what to call it, what it’s about, whether it’s open to the public or only to invited members, etc.
If Facebook and company are the height of the Web 2.0 phenomenon, then some people are suggesting that Ning is Web 3.0.
The best part about Ning is not that it’s absolutely free- but that it is SO EASY to set up a network and SO FAST to load.
